Charlie our African Safari vendor has been busy getting BCT travelers ready for a wonderful trip. The trip is early November. It’s one of our recent J4U success stories. It started out early this year with just two sister showing a interest if our Africa trip with just a slight twist. They wanted to view Mount Kilimanjaro so some time and transportation was set aside so that they could do that but overall it’s our normal J4U Africa itinerary and one we hope all will enjoy.

Here are two recent emails Charlie sent to inform and update all those soon to enjoy a true African experience. The information was in response to some questions our travelers had and we thought it was information worth sharing will all BCT Blog viewers and readers.

Oct 3 email:

Good morning? Good afternoon? Good evening?

You are all in different time zones – Hong Kong, Australia and USA! I greet you all
and want to take this opportunity to introduce myself and further welcome you all
to Kenya SOON!

My name is Charlie and my wife and I serve as regular pioneers assigned
to Langata North Congregation. Our Kingdom Hall is located inside the only Assembly
Hall in the whole of Kenya – hopefully you will visit the Assembly Hall and see our KH
somewhere in your itinerary. I believe in the itinerary we have also scheduled for you
to attend mid-week meetings with one of the Congregations at our Hall. I know for a
fact that it will be on a Thursday. My Congregation meets on Wednesday night for the
Congregation Bible Study, School and Service Meeting.

We are happy to partner with Bethel Coach Tours to bring the friends to Kenya to visit
our branch and take a tour of magnificent Kenya! There’s lot’s to see besides the Wildlife -
there’s the diverse people, the beautiful landscapes and scenery and of course the good
food! If you will have an opportunity to go out in Service, you will love it!

This is just a brief introduction and I’m looking forward to seeing you all in Kenya.
I know you all will be arriving on different flights and on different days. I have already
been in touch with some of you and know your flights. If you haven’t already given me
your flight details, kindly let me know so that I can be on hand to meet you at the airport.

Since you are on a land package only, the airport transfers – to and from the airport – are
not included in your cost and that will cost you an additional US $15 per person each way.
You can bring along this money with you and will pay upon arrival.

I know the local Bethel will be picking up the two Bethelites from Hong Kong from the airport and so those two will only need transfers to the airport. I can check with our Branch Office to reconfirm your pick-up – if need be.

I will send you several emails just to go over some details like Visas, Inoculations etc, etc.

Brother & Sister Collins are bethelites at the Hong Kong branch and

Please feel free to ask me any questions you might need to ask although I am pretty sure
I will address all concerns in due course.

We eagerly look forward to having you with us shortly – slightly over a month.
Talk to you later…

Oct 10 email:

The weather is fine in Kenya and I certainly hope
everyone is looking forward to the trip. Someone asked me about Tanzania Visa.

This morning I went to the local Embassy of Tanzania in Kenya and have confirmed
that Visa for Tanzania is available and you just have to fill the application
form and submit it together with your passport.

Visa applications are processed SAME DAY!

Cost: For US passport holders, the Visa costs USD $100
For Australian passport holders, the Visa costs USD $50

I asked them why the Visa costs more for Americans, the response was a simple -
“That’s the way it is Charlie!”

That’s Tanzania Visa! Kenya Visa is available at the Airport in Nairobi. I am sure you
have checked the Kenya Immigration website and learned that the Visa costs USD $50
FOR ALL NATIONALITIES!!!

You can also check the Visa costs at the Kenyan Embassy in your Country.

One Response to Getting BCT Travelers Ready for a Safari in Africa

Just a quick update on a question recently asked about young ones going on our African Safari!

The question was: I have a question concerning the African Branch Tour+Kenya Safari. Are minors able to go on their own on the tour? We are thinking of sending 2 girls (age 17) on the tour as a graduation present so would they be able to go without a parent or guardian? Also, are you able to fly out of Canada? Please let me know!

Our African Vendor Charlie Answered: Thank you for your enquiry. Yes, it is possible to have the 2(two) on board.

They will share a room together and be in the company of wonderful people
to take care of them. If you have any special request as far as meals are concerned, you can let us know. They have fantastic meals that cater for all including those with Vegetarian needs.

We can also make arrangements for the two to have rooms with connecting doors to another of room(s) occupied by other Sisters and/or Witnesses.

And YES! With BCT there is no problem flying out of Canada! Look forward to being of assistance,

    Your Brother, Charlie
