Guaynabo is known as "Capital del Deporte" (capital of the sport). Guaynabo derives its name from a Taino Indian term which means "lugar de aguas dulces". The Puerto Rican Bethel home is located here. El Yunque rainforest is a sub tropical mountainous forest located in the eastern part of Puerto Rico where the trade winds first meet the island. El Yunque National Forest, has the highest visitation of any natural site in Puerto Rico. When you see it, you'll easily understand why. El Yunque is the only rainforest in the U.S. National Forest System.

The Dominican Republic has become the Caribbean's largest tourist destination. In this mountainous land is located the Caribbean's highest mountain, Pico Duarte, as is Lake Enriquillo, the Caribbean's largest lake and lowest elevation. "Quisqueya", as Dominicans often call their country, has an average temperature of 26 °C (79°F) and great biological diversity. Music and sport are of the highest importance in Dominican culture, with meringue as the national dance and song. Rincon Beach is a beautiful and spacious place to play. Plan to eat there as the fish and langosta are reportedly, the best in the Dominican Republic.

At El Limon, trek through (40mins on a horse) this tropical jungle, filled with beautiful palm trees, tropical flowers, vines, fresh coco and coffee beans. All with the help of a knowledgeable and experienced tour guide! Take a walk on a sandy shallow in the middle of the Atlantic ocean; Bacardi Island (Cayo Levantado) is a true Caribbean paradise where you can snorkel and swim with tropical fishes (and even do some whale watching when in season). Enjoy lunch buffet on the island at a local restaurant.

A boat trip past Los Haitises National Park offers us with a view of a protected area in the northeast of the country, which offers the visitor a rich variety of natural wonders to explore, including: large expanses of mangrove, humid subtropical forest, sea grass beds, and pristine keys scattered along the length of the coast. The irregular topography of small, vegetation covered hills so characteristic of Los Haitises is the result of erosion subsequent to uplifting of the underlying limestone bedrock, formed over millions of years by marine organisms. Las Terrenas; once a sleepy, little fishing village on the North Coast of the Samana Peninsula, is today, a prime vacation destination for visitors to the Dominican Republic. With miles of undeveloped white-sandy beaches and protected inshore waters, this city of over 12,000 people is a bustling center of activity. And although fishing is still an important part of local life, the allure of this tropical paradise has fueled its growth to become an important part of the world's rapidly growing, recreational market.
